Supported Notes Content

n2pdf converts Notes rich text content into a PDF file through the RTF file format. For this purpose, n2pdf uses its own RTF export filter, which is continuously developed and improved. Below you will find an overview of the Notes content that can be converted in the current version.

Fonts​

  • Font family
  • Font size
  • Font color
  • Font style (normal, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, superscript, and subscript)

Paragraph Alignment​

  • Alignment (left, right, centered, justified)
  • First line (normal, indented, hanging indent)
  • Lists
  • Spacing (single, 1.5, double) - line, above, below

Paragraph Margins​

  • Margins (absolute values)
  • Tabs (left, right, centered, decimal)
  • Page breaks (general, break before paragraph, keep paragraph on one page, keep paragraph with next paragraph)

"Hide Paragraph When"​

  • Preview while reading/editing
  • Opened for reading/editing
  • Printing
  • Copy to clipboard
  • Hide paragraph when formula is true
  • Notes 4.6 or later

Hotspots​

  • Document links, view links, database links
  • URLs, anchors

Sections​

  • Titles (text and formulas)
  • Borders (simplified display; not positioned 100% like in Notes)
  • Colors (not for frames; only the 240 standard palette colors, other colors are adjusted automatically)
  • Expand/collapse, hide title when expanded, font, "hide paragraph before"

Graphics​

  • Source: inserted image (visible)
  • Formats: BMP, GIF, JPEG, TIFF (uncompressed)
  • Scaling (width and height)
  • JPEG image resources

Attachments​

  • Support for various graphics formats
  • Native support for file attachments without installing the source application
  • Support for ASCII file attachments

  • OLE objects (as visible in the Notes document; graphics only when transferred)
