End-of-Life for n2pdf

A fond farewell after 23 years of service for Lotus, IBM, and HCL Notes/Domino

After many years together, this is not an easy message to share: we have decided to send our product n2pdf into retirement. This decision was anything but easy for us.

From the very beginning, n2pdf has been a reliable part of our product portfolio, helping countless customers convert documents and attachments securely and with faithful formatting into the PDF and PDF/A formats. Over these 23 years, n2pdf has accompanied the entire evolution of the platform, from Lotus Notes through IBM Notes to HCL Notes/Domino. We are deeply grateful for the trust and support you have shown us throughout this time.

It has been a remarkable journey. For more than two decades, we have continuously developed, refined, and adapted n2pdf to meet new requirements – and we are proud of how many users it has helped in their daily work. The market around HCL Notes and Domino is changing, however, and our focus is increasingly shifting to our platform-independent PDF solution, webPDF. Against this background, we have decided to wind down the development of n2pdf in a structured way and with ample lead time.

The End-of-Life (EOL) for n2pdf means that, as of 31 December 2027, we will no longer provide updates, maintenance, or support services for this product. Until that date, support and maintenance remain available to you as usual. Your existing licenses remain valid beyond that date.

For requirements around the platform-independent creation, conversion, and signing of PDF documents, webPDF offers a powerful, actively developed solution. Please feel free to reach out – we will be glad to advise you on which path best suits your scenario.
