Digital signing of PDF documents
With webPDF you are able to digitally sign PDF documents (electronic signature) by attaching a digital certificate. Thus the authenticity (identification of the signer) of PDF documents can be confirmed and the documents are protected from changes or manipulation.
Make use of the possibility to sign PDF documents within the conversion or just upload an existing PDF document - the webPDF web service will attach a certificate to the file. You are also able to configure various settings such as the visibility or the position of the certificate.
Of course, webPDF can also add timestamps to the digital certificates. Using timestamps you can digitally set and fix the time of signing.
Documents can be signed according to the legal framework by the use of an appropriate classification (e. g. "qualified electronic signature" or "advanced electronic signature"). Therefore webPDF can be used for E-Invoice (electronic invoice) or archiving systems (audit proof archiving).
webPDF allows the use of certificates of a Certificate Authority (CA) or self-signed certificates. Certificates according to the X.509 standard are used.
